Wimmers makes cut on National Pitcher of the Year Watch List

The right-handed junior from Cincinnati Moeller is one of 25 on list

Though his season is currently on hold, there is no stopping the accolades and honors junior Alex Wimmers continues to receive. With a 9-0 record and 1.61 ERA for the season, Wimmers is one of 25 collegiate pitchers across the country that is on the College Baseball Foundation's revised Pitcher of the Year watch list.

Having suffered a hamstring injury minutes before his scheduled start against Michigan on April 30th, Wimmers has missed his last two starts but still boasts numbers that rank him among the nation's best. The All-American is still the only pitcher in the country to win every start, and before his injury, his 9-0 mark was the best in the nation. There is no timetable on when or if, Wimmers will return to the Buckeye rotation.
