Local Product Leffel Commits to Buckeyes

With the early signing period running from Nov. 10 thru 17, the recruiting trail and ensuing commitments is gaining steam. The latest class of 2011 commit for Coach Beals and his Buckeye staff is Dublin Coffman shortstop Ryan Leffel.

The 6'0, 180 middle infielder is Ohio State's first in-state position player and just second overall in the 2011 class joining Bryan's Matt Wisler.

According to Big League Baseball School, Leffel batted .355 for the Shamrock in 2010, a number that jumped to .485 over the summer in which he posted an OPS of 1.431.

Leffel is capable of playing all three non-first base infield positions at the next level, while possessing a quick bat, and athleticism.
