From Germany Cavan Cohoes Commits

Ohio State baseball fans knew that new coach Greg Beals would be aggressive in recruiting. After already securing commitments from top prep players in the states of Michigan and Illinois, Beals' words were being back by actions.

Beals latest coup might leave even the most reserved impressed.

Cavan Cohoes has verbally committed to Ohio State becoming the 4th member of the class of 2011 recruiting class for the Buckeyes. Following the path created by Panek, and Haase, Ohio State continues to step over state lines in bringing in talents players. The twist in Cohoes recruitment, Beals not only crossed state lines, he crossed international waters as Cohoes calls Germany home.

Patch American High School Online is the school which Cohoes is a student of. As a part of the Department of Defense Education Activity, the high school is part of the Patch Barracks of the US Military. As you can assume Cohoes is a child in an overseas stationed family.

Now Beals was not on flights back and forth across the Atlantic catching Cohoes play, the senior played summer baseball in the United States, playing prominently in Ohio and Florida.

In an article posted by Star and Stripes one can see Cohoes is quite the athlete and is garnering attention of those at the next level.

An eye will surely be kept on Cohoes, and kudos to Beals and staff for leaving no leaf unturned in bringing the best to Columbus.

These new coach's/players have brought great enthausim and work ethic to the program in a short few months. These new recurits sounds great but you never know until they suit up for real.
