Alex -- picking up where he left off. 3 runs in 3 innings.

Hey; I'm not certain ... but i think that its hard to pick up fly balls in the dome. Between BT's call in show and the game (BT pre-game and then the announcers) I've only heard about a dozen times how hard it is.

The Gophers SS Pettersen just made a hell of a play to (save a run) on a ball hit by Ryan Dew.

Gus apparently didn't learn from his base running blunder on Wed. night. You are behind, speed is not your forte; probably best to stay put. Good to be aggresive but have to know the situation and your abilities. didn't matter much Wed ... but could have been 1st and 3rd with only one out tonight

I'm going to flag myself for posting a comment in hindsight (re: Gus) earlier tonight ... not fair or smart to do that. So I will offset it with the following comment offered as FOREsight ... the Bucks will not this , or in any future week, be in any listing of projected regional sites.

Since the beginning of the REAL season the team is 3-3 (2-2 in meaningful games). The ace has been shelled twice, second line pitching is horrific. Hitting has been OK certainly not anything to get excited about when compared to the performance of our opponents during this stretch

Oh I wouldn't be so negative. There is still a lot of baseball to be played. We have a good team this year with a lot of heart. I'm really excited about this season. We WILL bounce back; I don't doubt that.

Yes it was a tough loss last night, but the guys will bounce back. I just hate that the guys are not being put in great situations to win. I think Wimmers should have left in the 7th inning,he had thrown a lot of pitches and has started 4 times in 15 days. No reason to burn out Wimmers on the 2nd Big Ten weekend. OSU has other pitchers that can get the job done.

After these posts the Bucks won 3-2 (because Minn was even more inept than we were at bringing guys in. We had 10 LOB, they had 11) and then we got hammered 16-3. Perhaps I could be construed as negative; but the 2 games after my initial comment proved both of my points ... hitting has been "OK" compared to our opponent's (just good enough in the 3-2 win) and our pitching, especially 2nd line, has been horrific (a 16-3 loss). I don't WANT to be negative ... at this point I want to be WRONG
