Ohio State vs. Army Game Cancelled

The Buckeyes won't have to test their bats against Army tonight since the game was rained out. In fact, all games today at IMG Academy Park and Manatee Community College were wiped out thanks to heavy rain that moved through the area Wednesday night. That means the Buckeyes get a day off during the spring trip afterall. They'll face Kansas on Friday beginning at 2 p.m. Jake Hale, 0-0 this season, will make his second start of the season. Two Buckeyes have double-digit hitting streaks. Tony Kennedy is riding the momentum of a 14-game streak while Ryan Meade has a hit in 10 consecutive games. I know, sorry for the jinx.

Todd ... any thoughts on what the starting rotation will look like vs. PSU? Who looks to have the inside track to be the closer at this point?

Hale, DeLucia, Wolo, Shuck.

Closer is Rory by default.

Armstrong for Wednesday starter.

Thanks, Rocky. Any thoughts on Catcher ... is Burkhart ready or will Gus be back there? How about 3rd ... is Delucia healthy, or will Todd go with Rupert there and Engle at SS even if Brian is ready?

Can't really take Ruppert out of the lineup with the way he is hitiing now.

I am not on the trip so i don't know if Delucia is hurt or just not in the lineup.

I myself like Miller at 1st,Burkhart seems to be playing pretty well behind the plate.

I would like to see Todd try someone else in the 9th,Maybe slide Rory to the 8th.He is really struggling.

Closer...? Anybody's guess but Rory will probably get more chances to prove he can get the job done.

(While on the topic of pitchers, anybody know why several pitchers who got PT last year and had some success have not seen the field this year? Injuries? I believe Edgin was going to get the start in Thursday game had it not been rained out.)

From what I've seen Burkhart will be the catcher. He looks good back there and I agree with "33" that Gus should be at 1st.

I think B. Delucia is healthy but maybe the coaches want to make sure he is 100% before putting him back in the lineup. (I've also heard that he is in the doghouse for some bad throws but that is probably just talk.)
